Show focuses on family, friends and a search for home
It’s something everyone can relate to — the journey to finding your place in the world. The New York University Abu Dhabi Theatre Programme will perform Olivier Kemeid’s version of Latin epic The Aeneid, with a focus on family, friends and a search for home, from November 15-18.
When Aeneas and Creusa’s home is burned to the ground, a lack of resources and hostility from neighbours forces them to flee the city. The show sees the search for a homeland shift from its classic roots to a modern world of transformation and migration.
The show, in The Black Box at The Arts Center at NYUAD, is sold out at the time of writing.
