The Khaleeji artist collective GCC has been commissioned to produce this year’s edition of The Room, an interactive dining experience at Art Dubai that is curated by different artists each year at the fair.
Titled Good Morning GCC, this year’s edition of The Room will recreate a live TV show on site, playing out as a daytime talk show with daily segments on fashion, cooking and health.
Celebrity wedding singer and TV chef Suliman Al Qassar will launch the programme with a live cooking demonstration on the opening night of the fair, which runs from March 21 to 24.
Another segment titled GCC After Dark will serve as a background for a series of after-hours parties, along with featuring a line-up of notable DJs.
The Khaleeji artist collective GCC is a delegation of eight members formed in 2013 at Art Dubai.
The 12th edition of Art Dubai will be held at Madinat Jumeirah with tickets starting at Dh60.
