Dubai: Striker Mohammad Salim Ennazy has been transferred from Al Jazira to Al Wasl after the two clubs and the player agreed to the move.

Ennazy who first played for Al Wahda as a foreign player for three seasons from 1999 to 2002 in which he was the league top scorer, signed for Al Jazira after he was granted UAE citizenship.

He played three seasons with them before he was transferred on Tuesday to Al Wasl.

Ennazy was in and out of the team last season.

"Al Wasl is a big name in UAE soccer, I hope to contribute with my teammates to return the club to its past glory," he said during a press conference held at the Al Wasl club after he took part in the team's training session at the Al Wasl stadium.

He added that he hopes to prove his ability with his new club.

Al Wasl's retired player Zuhair Bakhit who attended the press conference, presented his favoured number 23 shirt to Ennazy to wear for Al Wasl.
