Dubai: Simon Henley, Majed Al Jahoori and Helle Sahlholdt were crowned champions of the inaugural two-stage UAE Road Cycling Championship on Friday.
Henley won the overall men’s category, Al Jahoori took the Emirati men’s title and Sahlholdt topped the women’s division.
The trio claimed top spot after the final round of the two-stage championship, which brought together the UAE’s best elite and amateur cyclists with stages in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Winners of the second round in Dubai were Sam Stollery in the men’s, Ahmad Al Fahim in the Emirati men’s and Sahlholdt again in the women’s.
