Dubai: The UAE’s junior and ladies golf team will embark on a 14-day summer camp in Fleesensee, Germany on Friday. The trip is funded by the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) in a bid to prepare members of their foundation squad for international competition.

Twenty players, three coaches and two officials, including two coaches from the European Tour’s Performance Institute at Jumeirah Golf Estates, will travel.

“Taking these kids from the foundation squad on this summer camp is an important part of the junior development process for the EGF,” said EGF secretary-general Khalid Al Shamsi.

“These kids will benefit from these two weeks tremendously. Having the chance to really focus on the fundamentals and the basics of golf will push these kids to the next level,” he added.
