Dubai: The du La Liga High Performance Centre has announced the names of 18 players each from their Under-16 and Under-18 set-up who will travel to Spain in August for a 21-day intensive training camp in Marbella.

There they will play youth teams from La Liga clubs and get the chance to be scouted. Five players are already expected to get trials during the trip.

du La Liga HPC players are selected through the du Football Champions (duFC) UAE Schools and Streets Cup season, where more than 7,000 players from across the UAE compete for places.

“Development of youth talent is very high on La Liga’s agenda,” said La Liga Mena director Fernando Sanz.

“Working with our partners, we are delighted to see the development of many UAE talents in football. We are confident that we will have more success stories to share from the trip to Spain in August and look forward to this platform providing ongoing pipeline of football talents to international standards,” Sanz added.
