Dubai: Hundreds of cyclists are set to take part in the inaugural BeWell Cycle Tour UAE on Friday February 12.

Cyclists from across the UAE will be able to choose from a number of routes, which will finish at the Hamdan Sports Complex. They include a 146km route from Abu Dhabi, 141km route from Ras Al Khaimah, a 61km route from Ajman and an up to 20km route around the Hamdan Sports Complex on a dedicated, traffic free cycle path, which is ideal for families and those new to cycling.

As well as getting out on their bikes, participants will be able to enjoy the surrounding festival, which will bring together health and fitness specialists.

In addition, the event’s organisers Wyndham Hotel Group are partnering with the Al Jalila Foundation, to raise money for the foundation’s obesity research.

“It is great to see so many people signed up to take part in the first BeWell Cycle Tour UAE and help us spread the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle and fight against obesity,” said Michael Zager, regional vice president Middle East and Africa, Wyndham Hotel Group.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to sign up and register for the tour as well as join us for the BeWell Festival on February 12 to celebrate all things health and fitness in the UAE.”
