Dubai: Masafi — the leading producer of drinking water in the UAE and the Gulf region — has announced a partnership with the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships to become the official water sponsor for the 2015 event.

Masafi will keep the world’s leading tennis stars and spectators hydrated during two weeks of top class tennis when the tournament begins on February 15 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud.

Televised around the world, the Championships begin with the women’s event featuring top stars including Serena and Venus Williams and Simona Halep. This is followed by the men’s tournament that stars the world’s top two ranked players, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, alongside Andy Murray.

Masafi CEO Reginald Randall said: “The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships has become a hugely popular international sporting occasion loved by the players and spectators alike. Our decision to partner with the iconic event is in line with Masafi’s strong commitment towards sponsoring key sporting events in the UAE.

“We are delighted to be part of this event and directly engaging with all the participants through our water stations and premium bottled water.”

Dubai Duty Free’s Senior Vice President Corporate Communications and Tournament Director, Salah Tahlak, added: “Masafi has been supporting the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships from 1998 to 2010 and we are pleased to have them on board again as the official water sponsor of the tournament.

“The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships first began with the ATP men’s week back in 1993 and we have been fortunate to have retained many of the same sponsors since the very beginning and we look forward to our continuous association for many years to come.”
