Dubai: Roberto Carlos insists he will not be returning to India for the 2016 Indian Super League (ISL).

Carlos, who was in Dubai for the futsal final of the Nad Al Sheba (NAS) Ramadan Sports Tournament that concluded late on Tuesday, indicated that not everything was well with his brief one-year association with the ISL in India.

“No, no, no. I will not be going to Delhi again this year,” Carlos told Gulf News, while denying any further comment.

Carlos retired in August 2012 at the age of 39. The following year he took up management when he was named as head coach of Sivasspor in the Turkish Super Lig. After one year in Turkey, Carlos signed for Al Arabi in the Qatari Stars League. But he did not join due to a breakdown in talks.

His next move was as head coach with ISL side Delhi Dynamos, where he made two appearances as player without scoring any goal.
