Abu Dhabi: The Pro-League Committee has unveiled the candidates for the 2014-15 Arabian Gulf League Awards, which will be voted for by all 14 AGL clubs and media representatives.

Among those nominated for accolades are the league’s leading goalscorer, Mirko Vucinic of Al Jazira, and Al Ain’s Croatian coach Zlatko Dalic, who has led The Boss to the AGL title.

The voting process requires the head coach, manager and captain of each club, as well as selected representatives of the media, to cast their votes by ranking players and coaches on the pre-selected shortlists determined by the PLC’s Technical Committee from 1-5 — 1 being the best.

The categories are Emirati Player of the Year, Foreign Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.

Meanwhile, Al Ain will be able to celebrate their title success at home following an amended fixture schedule revealed by the Pro-League Committee on Tuesday.

Sharjah were due to host Zlatko Dalic’s men on the penultimate day of the season — Saturday, May 9 — but have agreed to visit Al Ain’s Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium for a 6.05pm kick-off to allow The Boss to receive the AGL trophy in front of their own fans.

In other changes, the penultimate round of the matches will take place on Friday and Saturday, while the final raft of matches will be held on three days between Friday, May 8 and Sunday, May 10.

Round 25 will see Al Ain-Bani Yas and Al Nasr-Kalba both kicking off at 6.05pm on Friday, with Al Jazira-Al Shabab and Al Ahli-Al Wahda at 8.45pm on the same day. On Saturday, Al Dhafra will host Sharjah at 6.15pm, whilst Ajman-Emirates and Fujairah-Al Wasl will both kick off at 8.45pm.

The final round of this season’s campaign will begin with relegated Ajman taking on Fujairah at 6.05pm on Friday, May 8, followed by Kalba-Emirates at 8.45pm on the same day.

Aside from Al Ain’s clash with Sharjah on Saturday, May 9, the following day Al Wasl v Al Jazira, Al Shabab v Al Dhafra and Al Wahda v Al Nasr will all kick off at 6.05pm, while the last game of the season will be Bani Yas v Al Ahli at 8.45pm.
