Abu Dhabi: The second edition of the Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup kicked off at Zayed Sports City on Friday.

A total of 1,400 players from all over the world are taking part and winning teams will get specialist coaching sessions with one even chosen to visit Manchester City’s training ground — the Etihad Campus — in Manchester.

Etihad Airways commercial executive vice-president, Mohammad Al Bulooki, said: “Etihad strongly believes in youth empowerment through sports, and the Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup not only promotes an active and healthy lifestyle, but instils in youth life-long skills such as the importance of teamwork and discipline.”

The final day of the Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup 2018 takes place on Saturday, March 24 from 9am, at Zayed Sports City.
