Dubai: Emirates Club are in negotiations with Al Wahda’s Damien Diaz, according to reports.

The 29-year-old Argentinian midfielder is surplus to requirements in Abu Dhabi with Chilean midfielder Jorge Valdivia expected to sign imminently.

Diaz scored 10 goals in 24 Arabian Gulf League appearances in his first season with The Clarets, but struggled in his second year last season scoring just four in 21 league appearances.

If successful, Diaz would be the Ras Al Khaimah outfit’s second summer signing after Australian midfielder Brett Holman joined from Al Nasr.

Al Nasr have confirmed the arrival of Chilean midfielder Luis Jimenez on a free transfer from Al Ahli, with the 31-year-old signing a two-year deal with the Blue Wave.

Bani Yas are also closing in on a €1.5 million (Dh6.1 million) move for Dutch striker Michiel Kramer, 26, from Ado Den Haag. Kramer would be the second signing for the Sky Blues after Australian defender Mark Milligan joined for A$1 million (Dh2.875 million) from Melbourne Victory.

Dibba Fujairah have confirmed the arrival of 31-year-old Brazilian midfielder Elias Luiz from Saudi Arabia’s Al Fateh. Luiz is Dibba’s second summer signing after Lebanese defender Bilal Najjarine joined from Al Dhafra. And Al Shaab have confirmed their first summer signing in Brazilian left back, Celio Santos, 27, from Iran’s Tractor Sazi.
