Dubai: Second-seeded Yuliana Fedak continued her stunning run with an effortless 6-1, 6-3 victory against Korina Perkovic to set up a semi-final meeting with Romanian Mihaela Buzarnescu in the inaugural Al Habtoor Future Challenge, being played at the Al Habtoor Grand Resort and Spa yesterday.
Buzarnescu eased her way to an identical win against fifth-seeded T. Arefyeva of Ukraine.
In the upper half of the draw, seventh seed Marta Sirotkina dumped top seed Naomi Broady 6-2, 6-1 to set a semi-final meeting with German qualifier Julia Babilon, who got past the fourth seeded Elena Chalova of Russia 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
The singles semi-finals will be held today.
