Playing tennis keeps me young - Courier

Dubai: After spending more than two decades with the sport, former world number one Jim Courier has refused to douse his enthusiasm for the game.
"One thing is for sure, playing tennis keeps me young and this is the right ingredient to help me work on staying in shape," Courier told Gulf News.
Courier is leading a line-up of eight former top tennis stars at the annual The Legends Rock Dubai being held at the Dubai Tennis Stadium. In fact, finding a dearth of senior men's competitions, Courier initiated the 'Outback Champions Series' that has till now managed to attract some of the top stars of yesteryears including Pete Sampras, Michael Chang and Andre Agassi.
"This is quite a youthful enterprise and it helps all of us manage to stay in shape," Courier said.
"There was this real opportunity in the US for us to create something for the sake of the sport. I find the Outback Champions Series a real amalgamation of the fun and competitive elements in tennis."
Not over-ambitious
And even though the series has managed to attract some of the best former players, Courier still does not want to be over-ambitious.
"There is a limit in the number of tournaments we want to have during a calendar year," Courier said.
