Jumeirah Beach Club (JBC1) continued their strong showing with a 32-16 win against Jumeirah Beach Hotel (JBH) in the fourth week of the Spinneys Ladies Tennis League.
C. Hand and N. Torloting started off well for JBC with a 9-3 win against E. van de Merwe and L Poltronieri. Sanet Nel and C. Curtis chipped in with a 7-5 win against Dima Al Sa'adi and S. Droubi, only to see the JBH pairing bounce back to win 7-5 against Hand and Torloting.
Nel and Curtis then powered their way to an emphatic 11-1 win against Van de Merwe and Poltronieri.
In other games, Metropolitan Beach Resort got the better of Ritz 31-17, while Dubai Country Club defeated Sharjah Womens 34-14.
EGC 1 and JBC 4, meanwhile, maintained their positions at the top of Divisions 2 and 3, respectively.
In Division 2, Jumeirah Beach Club 3 won comfortably over Le Royal Meridien 29-19. Sue Hertog and Anna Kubow of LRM staged a good fight before losing to N. Jreige and B. Al Ghoul of JBC 3 in a close match 5-7. The pair, however, won easily over M. Saygi and L. Al Bustani 8-4.
