Dubai: The Indian High School (IHS) will represent UAE in the Under-14 CBSE National Schools Tennis Championship to be held in India.

The IHS team outplayed their opponents from other schools in the inter-school tennis tournament for CBSE schools in the UAE held at the India Club thanks to sterling performances from Sushant Satish and Anurag Reddy.

The Indian High School got a bye in the first round and, in the second round, they beat Delhi Private School 2-0. Reddy won a hard- fought first match 7-4 while Satish registered an emphatic 7-1 win.

In the final, the Indian High School took on Our Own High School, Al Warqaa. Once again, Reddy held his nerve to pull off an exciting 7-6 win over Nithilan Selvacoumar. In the second match, Satish trounced Anirudh 7-2. The other two members of the IHS team are Karan Manghnani and Jaison.

The Under-14 CBSE National School Tennis Championship will be held at Vadodara in India from December 20 to 24.
