Belgrade: Defeated France captain Guy Forget hit out at heckling fans he described as "idiots" after Serbia won the Davis Cup for the first time on Sunday.
For three days the Belgrade Arena was packed to the rafters and while most of the 17,000 fans respected the players, Forget said some had spoiled the occasion.
"It's very loud. And the crowd was pushing behind the Serbian players, and they were wonderful. So were the French crowd, as well," he told reporters after graciously praising Serbia's team for their 3-2 victory.

"Now that it's over, the only thing I can say is always when you have a big event like this, you always have 20 or 30 idiots that are whistling every time you toss the ball.
"That's very frustrating. It's very unfair. These people don't need to be on a sport field anywhere.
"I think that kind of spoiled the pleasure that you can have on the court because you're always fighting the chair umpire to apply the rules.
"I've been sitting on this chair every day for between four and seven hours. Every single time there was an important point there was some idiot whistling when these guys had to throw the ball in the air. That's not very nice.
"I hope in the future, you will be able to get rid of these people. But most of the people were wonderful."
It may have sounded like sour grapes, particularly as the noise levels in the arena helped to create a memorable final, but Forget was not blaming it for France's failure to win their first Davis Cup since 2001.
Novak Djokovic beat Gael Monfils to level the tie on Sunday before Viktor Troicki overcame an out-of-sorts Michael Llodra in straights sets to clinch Serbia's first title.
"I think Serbia deserved to win because they were behind and they came back," Forget said. "You have to give credit to Novak and Viktor for the quality of the play they had today."
