Moheeb Cherad and Joanne Hartingdale won the men's and ladies singles titles, respectively, at the third Open Tennis Championships in Umm Al Nar, hosted by Abu Dhabi Golf Club by Sheraton.

Cherad, 17, beat Mohamed Al Muflehi in straight sets, while Hartingdale received a walkover from top seed Rola Sbat who withdrew before the final owing to illness.

The men's doubles was won by the pairing of Moheeb Cherad and Mohamed Al Muflehi who beat teenagers Imran Jesengiri and Khalil Ouakedi 9-4.

The ladies' doubles title went to Khursana Tairova and Rola Sbat who narrowly beat Joanne Hartingdale and Elke Hillrichs 9-7.

In a special family event, a parent-and-child doubles competition, the final was an all-French affair between Alexis (13) and Bertrand Brejon and Quentin (15) and Marc Vesseront. The Vesseront's emerged 9-3 winners.
