Dubai: Adham Hesham Gabr will use his trip to France to watch the quarter-finals of the French Open at Roland Garros to inspire him to reach even greater heights on centre courts around the world.

The youngster clinched the Boys Under-10 and U-10 handicapped crown and finished as runner-up in the Under-12 division at the Masters Final of the CFT Junior Tennis Series, organised by Clark Francis Tennis and Esportsdubai at the Aviation Club, the home of the Dubai Tennis Championships. Victory also won Adham an all-expenses-paid trip to the French capital and a ticket to watch the French Open live.

Adham, ranked third among U-12 players in the UAE, was unmatched in the U-10 categories. He scripted a comfortable 10-5 victory over Alexander Zagrebina in the Open Class, and thrashed Nimmit Katarya 10/4 in the Handicapped category.

His dad Hesham Abdul Aziz Gabr said: "It was a big dream which finally became true [for him], he is hoping to one day play at Roland Garros, like his hero Roger Federer. Adham is very talented and is ranked third in the U-12 class in the UAE.

"[Recently], Adham collected many trophies and his dream is to become the world No 1 one day. His coach has always said that he has a superb and wonderful forehand. With more training, concentration and passion, some day [I'm] sure he will reach his goals."

In July, Adham will travel with his coach to France to train and participate in tournaments there.
