Abu Dhabi: "We are really proud of our Al Ain Amblers Rugby Football Club," says Rita Kfouri, marketing and sales manager of Al Ain Equestrian Shooting and Golf Club (AAESGC).

"The rugby club is a state-of-the-art, family-focused sports facility encompassing three floodlit fields, a fully equipped gymnasium with panoramic views over the resort, a 25-metre swimming pool, Padi dive centre, two tennis courts, a Chinese spa and beauty salon and a restaurant," the proud official told Gulf News.

"We have hosted many international competitions including two international women's Rugby World Cup warm-up matches, the Arabian 7s Challenge Cup in 2010 and international men's rugby involving the Arabian Gulf, Hong Kong and the Arabian Barbarians," Kfouri added.

"The Rugby Club is a hub of social and sporting activity. For the sports enthusiast, the range of sports on offer includes rugby, football, field hockey and Gaelic Football for varying ages, as well as tennis lessons from an ex-professional tennis coach and swimming lessons. Rugby training sessions are usually held on Mondays and Wednesdays evenings from August to May."

Kfouri added: "Those seeking entertainment can choose from fun-packed weekly events like Quiz Night, Family Movie Night, Karaoke, in addition to live sport on one of our three large screen televisions. For complete relaxation and rejuvenation a visit to the Chinese spa is essential."
