Dubai: Springbok World Cup-winning coach Jake White and most-capped All Black Sean Fitzpatrick will be guest speakers at this year's Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens Long Lunch on September 30, at Crowne Plaza in Dubai Festival City.

White led South Africa to victory in the 2007 World Cup, steering the team from sixth to first in the world rankings. He also won the Tri Nations trophy and was twice voted IRB International coach of the year.

Fitzpatrick on the other hand played a record 121 international matches including 92 Test matches for New Zealand. He was captain for a record 51 Tests and played in more Test match victories (74) than any other player.

"We are honoured to have two of the most highly-regarded men in world rugby joining us for this year's Long Lunch," said Gary Chapman, President Group Services and Dnata, Emirates Group.

"Both Sean and Jake are known as great speakers, and Dubai rugby fans are in for a real treat. We are encouraging the public to book their tables early to ensure they are part of a great afternoon of rugby repartee," said Chapman.

The annual Dubai Sevens curtain-raiser, which raised Dh120,000 for charity last year, will raise cash for three different local charities; Senses, Dan's Fund for Burns and Wooden Spoon.
