Three former stars offer skills development to improve their game

Dubai: Three former international rugby stars offered youngsters in Dubai a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop their skills during the first edition of the UAE Corporate Rugby Sevens held at Jebel Ali on Saturday.
Former Welsh international and British Lion Dafydd James, together with former England players Andy Gomersal and Paul Sampson, were brought together by Reed Recruitment to offer promising youngsters a chance to develop their game.
James, who works as a senior head-hunter for Reed in Dubai, also led out the Reed sevens team during the event.
The Corporate Sevens has made a name for itself after successful stints in both Hong Kong and Singapore, with Dubai hosting the tour's first event in the UAE.
Great day
James said: "As former international players we're always looking for opportunities to give something back to the game.
"Reed bringing the three of us together says a lot about the company and the way in which it values the development of young people — both in and out of a sporting arena.
"The youngsters who took part in the session were offered the benefit of our combined international experience. It was a great day and I'm sure the children all had a great time as did we." The coaching session was available to children of all ages who attended the event, with the final youngsters selected on the day for their enthusiasm and desire to learn.
Steve Williams, Regional Manager for Reed, said: "We're delighted that we have been able to bring these three champions of the sport together to benefit the youth of Dubai.
"It certainly provided a great learning opportunity for them. The event was extremely well received and we were delighted to have played a key role in making it such a success."
