Victory Team inundated with condolences
Request to send messages to website
Dubai: The Victory Team has been inundated with messages of support and condolence following the tragic loss of pilots Mohammad Al Muhairi and Jean-Marc Sanchez, who died following a high-speed crash last Friday.
"We are extremely grateful for the messages we have received from friends both inside and outside the powerboat racing community," said Victory Team Managing Director Khalfan Hareb in a statement issued to the media late on Monday.
"However, we would like to request at this time that friends and supporters respect the privacy of both families and the Victory Team.
"Those wishing to leave a message should make contact through the team website where we will acknowledge their thoughts.
"In addition, we have no comment to make at this time regarding the cause of the accident.
"There has been a lot of needless speculation but a full investigation is being undertaken by all the necessary authorities and until their findings are made public it would be both insensitive and inappropriate for us to comment at this early stage of the proceedings as we mourn Mohammad and Jean-Marc."
