Dubai: The 2012 World Tour of Red Bull X-Fighters was officially launched this week as Dubai will play host to the inaugural round of the series at The Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence, on April 13.
"We are proud to see Dubai host the opening round of the Red Bull X-Fighters international series for the second consecutive year," said Alberto Chahoud, Regional Communications Manager, Red Bull Middle East and Africa.
Hessa Al Kous, head of marketing and promotions, Dubai Sports Council (DSC), confirmed: "It is a pleasure to renew our support for the Red Bull X-Fighters, which brings together some of the world's best riders in freestyle motocross to show their outstanding skills."
With six stops on four continents, the FMX riders will be battling it out for championship points on their returns to Dubai, Madrid and Sydney, plus new locations at Glen Helen in California, Istanbul and Munich in the sport's 12th season.

Dubai's Red Bull X-Fighters 2012 will be held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council. The event is supported by du and is being held in cooperation with Mini, Swatch, Sky Dive Dubai, The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Sports Council and MBC Action.
