Abu Dhabi: The UAE endurance racing champion Khaled Al Qubaisi will be back for another challenge at the GTE Am class of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with two new team-mates aboard the Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSR.

David Heinemeier Hansson (Denmark) returns to the GTE ranks he graced in the title winning Aston Martin in 2014 for what is set to be his fourth full season in the World Championship.

Al Qubaisi and Heinemeier Hansson will be joined by Porsche factory driver, Patrick Long, who scored a pole position, 2 podiums and a win in the 6 hours of Fuji.

“Patrick is a very fast and one of the most experienced Porsche factory drivers, I got to know him well from this season and I’m really glad he will be my team mate next season and would like to thank Porsche for their continuous support,” Al Qubaisi said, “David is a great driver as well, he managed to win the Championship in 2014 with Aston Martin and is eager to win it again in his favorite car, the Porsche.”
