Dubai: The Nivea For Men Professional concluded the first round of the 2008 Nivea for Men Karting Endurance Challenge in first place in an exhilarating race held over the weekend at the kartdrome of the Dubai Autodrome.

The Nivea for Men Professional leading the race from the outset finished with an overall of 1164 laps, second place went to MRDC who maintained a constant second from the beginning, followed very closely by the kartdrome Speedsters in third place.

Last year's winning team Y&R Dojomoto managed to scrape a fourth position.

New teams for this year were the fifth position holders Al Manaseer Racing from Bahrain, a newly formed team who had travelled all the way to prove that Bahrainis have a lot of karting talent.

Fastest time

Bahrain has only just opened its first karting track but already proving it has very worthy drivers.

From the start of the race the competition for leadership was furious between the top three teams and first race positioning switched frequently at a tremendous fast pace in the first half hour of the race.

As time passed the Nivea For Men professional led the race and secured their position.

Over the course of the race the fastest time record was broken more then 15 times throughout the 24-hour duration.
