Dubai: The Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-sponsored KTM-UAE team is set to fly the flag for the UAE at this year's Rally of Tunisia, the first time the country have been represented in the bike class of this challenging event.

Fresh from a successful 2010 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, KTM-UAE's James West and Tim Trenker will be going into the rally in first and second place respectively in the World Championship standings for the Open Production Class.

Competing on their factory-prepared 690 rally bikes, West and Trenker will be looking to build on a strong performance in Round 1 in Abu Dhabi.

Generally acknowledged as being second only to the Dakar rally in terms of difficulty, the Rally of Tunisia is the second round of the FIA and FIM World Championship 2010, and takes place over six days and 2,000 kilometres.

Starting in Tunis, the route covers virtually the entire length of the country, crossing sand dunes, mountains and rocky tracks.

Both riders and their bikes will be decked out in the KTM-UAE team's new look.
