Abu Dhabi: The inaugural Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit last year had the sporting world watch in awe as the season-ending finale set a new benchmark.

This year, as Abu Dhabi attempts to raise the bar, the one addition to the package which will just do that and more is the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, which opens tomorrow, is the world's largest indoor theme park and the first and only Ferrari theme park in the world.

Housed under one of the most iconic structures, the theme world has a range of attractions the will keep almost every member of a family entertained.

The roof, which creates a fascinating visual as one drives past on the new Shaikh Khalifa Highway, spans over 200,000 square metres while the famous prancing horse logo of the all-conquering car makers is a 65 metres by 48.5 metres.

"Ferrari World Abu Dhabi offers an exhilarating experience for families and fans alike which they will cherish forever," said Andy Keeling, Park Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

"There's more to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi than the thrill of speed racing and powerful cars," says Keeling. "The park celebrates Ferrari's past and present, and pays homage to its Italian roots in a bespoke and innovative way, from the stunning structure through to the attractions and various experiences offered," he said.

"Few brands in the world are capable of eliciting such strong reactions of passion and fervour," said Keeling. "Each and every attraction at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi tells a piece of the legendary Ferrari story; the powerful cars, the racing triumphs, the technical innovation and the authenticity of the homeland that embraces all that rich history," Keeling said.

"Some of the state-of-the-art attractions on show include the fantasy world of ‘Nello' at Speed of Magic, as the mischievous racing driver leads guests on a fantastic 4-D adventure through deep green jungles to icy caves and ravines.

Guests can also go faster than anyone has ever been before on a roller coaster when they ride Formula Rossa, which powers them to 240 kmph in less than five seconds.
