Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s only internationally accredited karting facility, Al Ain Raceway, is gearing up for a busy season ahead.

Located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the Raceway is a hidden gem, organisers believe, and delivers high-performance sporting action to individuals of all abilities in Al Ain.

The state-of-the-art facility, which boasts a 1.6km, fully-floodlit track, is staffed by some of the region’s leading karting experts with over 75 years of karting experience between them.

Speaking about the forthcoming season, Guy Sheffield, Club Director of Al Ain Raceway, said: “Although we are still in the summer months, the start of race season is fast approaching and all of us at Al Ain Raceway are ready and raring to go.

“Here at the Raceway we pride ourselves on being able to deliver karting experiences of the highest standard. Whether you are a complete beginner or budding professional, we have an activity just for you.”

Juniors, aged between seven and 15, can try their hand at the supreme ‘Junior’ karting experiences at the venue.

Novice drivers of all ages can take part in Arrive and Drive sessions, which allow them to get a taster of what karting is all about, while the more experienced racers can further develop their skills by taking part in Al Ain Raceway’s Open Racing Series, Super Prix, Iron Man or even Endurance Races, which take place throughout the year.

All senior karts are equipped with a revolutionary steering-wheel mounted information screen, linked directly to the timing system, which allows access to real-time race data and enables tracking of statistics.

Private, as well as group, tuition is also available at Al Ain Raceway.
