Dubai: Kevin Korjus, who won the junior category of a karting race in Al Ain in 2007, will take part in the three-day "Young Driver Test" for all F1 teams at the Yas Marina Circuit next week.
The 18-year-old Estonian won the Rotax Junior MAX 125 class on the Al Ain Raceway in 2007, on the same track where this year's Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals will be held.
"It's fantastic to hear that someone who, just a few years ago was competing in a National Rotax MAX Challenge series, is now in with a chance of an F1 drive,” said Guy Sheffield, General Manager of Al Ain Raceway.
“We will be cheering Korjus on and look forward to spotting future F1 talent on the Al Ain circuit later this month,” Sheffield said.
