Abu Dhabi: Formula One fans can get an insight into various aspects of the sport, such as what it was like to be Michael Schumacher’s teammate, at a Dubai event next week.

‘Night With The Stars — F1 special’ between 8pm and 11pm on Tuesday, November 22 at the Address Montgomerie will feature a talk from the former F1 driver and now Sky Sports television pundit Johnny Herbert and the Sky Sports commentator David Croft.

Herbert, a 52-year-old Englishman, competed in F1 between 1999 and 2000 and was a team-mate of the seven-time world champion Schumacher at Benetton.

The evening will also include a five-star buffet dinner and the chance to win a variety of prizes, such as signed F1 merchandise and a fourball game of golf at the Address Montgomerie.

The event has been arranged to coincide with the season-ending Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which takes place between November 25 and 27.

Organisers told Gulf News: “As we head into the last F1 race of the season and with the drivers’ championship still be decided, ‘A Night with the stars — F1 special’ is a must for any F1 fan. The guys will discuss all things F1, from the battle between Mercedes drivers for the title, rising stars like Max Verstappan, new rules for 2017, the old days, what it was like to be Michael Schumacher’s teammate and how it really feels to be in an F1 car.”
