Abu Dhabi: Gulf News put the former Formula One driver Mark Webber on the spot in a phone interview ahead of the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which takes place from November 27-29.

Q: What’s your favourite Formula One circuit?

A: Suzuka [in Japan]. It’s challenging and very tricky to get right. It’s an old-school track.

Q: What do you think of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit?

A: It’s good. It’s not the most difficult circuit in the world, but in terms of atmosphere, and the facilities, it’s phenomenal. It’s quite intimate and beautiful. I am looking forward to being there, as there is great camaraderie among the people there and its been a sensational addition to the calendar.

Q: Who’s your favourite F1 driver of all time?

A: Alain Prost. He was very measured about his driving and my dad liked him. When you’re young and impressionable, you’re influenced by what your dad thinks.

Q: What about your favourite GP memory?

A: Winning my first race at [the 2009 German Grand Prix at] Nurburgring and in Monte Carlo. They were very unique.

Q: Where do you see your future?

A: I think I’ll finish with Porsche [in the FIA World Endurance Championship]. I’m not keen on doing anything else. Would I return to F1 as a team owner? I might do when it’s a bit more level. I’m certainly in no rush.

Q: Describe F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone in five words?

A: Hustler. Sharp. Witty. Sarcastic. The Boss.
