Sharjah: More than 350 horses from 32 countries around the region are participating in this weekend’s 14th Sharjah International Showjumping Championship, which is being held at Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club.
This is the second year that the championship has been backed by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA).
Khalid Al Midfa, Director General of the SCTDA, said the body is keen to support activities that serve the interests of society and contribute to Sharjah’s position as a leading destination in the region. He added that equestrian activities enjoy a privileged status in the emirate and attract many lovers of the sport.
