Abu Dhabi: The Duindigt racecourse in the Netherlands will stage the second leg of the Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup race series’ European Triple Crown on June 28.

The European Triple Crown, organised by the HH Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, comprises of races in France, the Netherlands and Poland.

Al Mouwaffak, ridden by Julian Auge, won the first leg over 2,000 metres on April 17 in Toulouse, France, to stay unbeaten in four starts.

The second leg on June 28 will be run over 1,900 metres in Duindigt, with the total prize fund for the Group 3 race being €35,000.

The third leg will be held in Warsaw, Poland, and the horse with the most points from the three races will be eligible for the Triple Crown bonus.

The HH Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship (IFAHR) race will also be held on June 28 at Duindigt.

Meanwhile, the popularity and success of the Festival has attracted another top UAE company to join in as a sponsor — the National Feed & Flour Production & Marketing Company (LLC).
