Meydan to sponsor seventh meet
Meydan is currently overseeing the development of Dubai's iconic horse racing development — the Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse.

- The Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse will be inaugurated by the opening of Dubai's 2010 racing season, which starts January 28.
Dubai: Meydan on Wednesday announced its sponsorship of the seventh race meeting at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club which will also host the notable HH The President's Cup for thoroughbreds.
Meydan is currently overseeing the development of Dubai's iconic horse racing development — the Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse.

Meydan's commercial director, Mohammad A. Nasser Al Khayat, said: "Meydan and Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club are working together hand in hand to bring horse racing in the UAE to even greater acclaim and we look forward to seeing this exciting sport continue to grow both in size as well as international recognition.
"As Meydan prepares for the Dubai racing season, we are pleased our partners in Abu Dhabi have welcomed us as a sponsor of this race meeting, which is set to host the prestigious HH The President's Cup, worth Dh150,000. It is indeed an honour for us to be associated with this.
"We wish all owners, trainers and jockeys the best of luck and a thoroughly enjoyable evening to all racing enthusiasts."
