Dubai: Muraaqib remains the winner of the €1.2 million (Dh5.24 million) Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown (Group 1), the world’d richest Purebred Arabian race, after a recent appeal by losing trainer Eric Lemartinel, was dismissed the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) Stewards.

The French handler had appealed against the ruling to demote RB Burn to second place and awarding the race to Muraaqib.

In the race on November 10 at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, RB Burn finished in front of Muraaqib, but following an objection by jockey Jim Crowley for interfeance, the Stewards reversed the placings.
