Dubai: Japanese superstar Just A Way may only have finished eighth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) at Longchamp last week, but that has not stopped him from dominating the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.

According to the last rankings list compiled by the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings Committee, published by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA), Just A Way top the list with a rating of 130.

A quartet of horses featuring Australia, Kingman, The Grey Gatsby and Variety Club sit in joint second place on 126.

Treve, who became the seventh horse to win the Arc twice, has been bestowed with a rating of 125 and holds joint-sixth position with German Derby winner Sea The Moon.

Epsom Oaks (G1) and King George (G1) sensation Taghrooda, who was a creditable third in the Arc, shares eighth place five other horse on 124.

The group also includes California Chrome, Game On Dude, Gold Ship, The Fugue and Arc runner-up Flintshire.

In North America, Shared Belief made it seven wins from seven starts with a bruising neck victory in the Awesome Again Stakes (G1) at Santa Anita, while at Keenelend, Wise Dan won his fourteenth race in his last fifteen starts in the Shadwell Turf Mile (G1). Both horses are on a rating of 122.

William Hill Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) winner Bayern bounced back from a disappointing effort in the Travers Stakes (G1) to land the Pennsylvania Derby (G2) to earn a rating of 121.

The next edition of the rankings will be released on November 13.
