Dubai: Cocoa Beach, a former champion in Chile, was described as 'star' by her trainer after barely working up a sweat to win the UAE Oaks at Nad Al Sheba on Thursday night.

Ridden by six-time UAE champion jockey Ted Durcan, the four-year-old filly scored by six lengths from British hope Love of Dubai.

Trainer Saeed Bin Surour was delighted with the performance and commented: "Cocoa Beach is a star. She won the race really easily and was very impressive tonight."

Durcan settled his mount in mid-division of the eleven-strong field before brushing her to the front two furlongs out.

Cocoa Beach readily took over the running and needed only hand-and-heels riding to come clear of her rivals and win as she liked.

This was Godolphin's fifth success in the UAE Oaks, following wins by Laoub (2001), Imperial Gesture (2002), Danuta (2003) and Satin Kiss (2005).

Stable companion Love Dancing finished third, but Bin Surour's first string, Fiesta Lady, failed to make an impression and finished at the back of the field.

The trainer reported on the stable's website: "Fiesta Lady seems to be fine and there appears to be no problem with her at the moment. But I was disappointed with her run tonight."

However, it was not a bad night at all for the Godolphin handler who collected two other trophies - for wins by With Interest in the Ferrari Trophy and Third Set in the concluding Zabeel Mile (II).

"The horses are in fantastic form and we have now had 21 winners at Nad Al Sheba this year. With Interest r an a big race and Third Set was also impressive. We might give him a little break now before running him in Europe later in the year."

Durcan was completing a quick double, having earlier won the first leg the Zabeel Mile with Wise Dennis, who scored over Godolphin's Dijeer for the second time in seven days.

Trainer Alan Jarvis described his winner as a 'realy tough horse.

"We knew he could take two runs close together," said Jarvis who is based at Frimley Stables in Buckinghamshire, England. "He has been a great servant to us."

Earlier in the evening Richard Hills made all the running on the Doug Watson-trained Mutamarres to win the first division of the Al Quoz Sprint.
