Abu Dhabi: The Jaber Bittar-trained RS Hayfa will be starting off as the favourite to win the Hydra ADSC Emirates Fillies Classic, the feature event in tonight's card of six races all for Purebred Arabian horses.

The 4-year-old Bengali D'Albret filly was a smart winner under Jesus Rosales in the Fillies Classic here in December and horse and jockey are back to take a shot at the Dh100,000 Prestige race for UAE-bred mares and fillies.

Debutants

Though Hayfa finished third since that win in a Listed race, the Bittar runner is sure to get the top billing from the Pick Six followers despite her two kilo penalty.

Hayfa's danger is likely to come from the Gillian Duffield-trained AF Mahab Alshamal who has been placed third twice under Ted Durcan.

Jaci Wickham's Dhuha W'Rsan and Saifaldin Deeb's FK Ragad are both debutants but going by the trainer's form, either of them could spring a surprise. Duffield also has a good chance of bagging the fifth race in which Nesnaas, Muntaliq and AS Shahab are all fancied in the Dh45,000 11-furlong handicap for horses rated up to 75.

Bittar's pair of Ordoki and Amalia along with Eric Lemartinel's Dafagg could spoil Duffield's party in this penultimate race of the night.

The evening's opening race, a 0-55 Handicap, pits Duffield's Sharakka (Richard Hills up) against Saifaldin Deeb's Ahel and Ali Rashid Al Rahie's Offrande Ducroate with quite a few others in the 14-horse field capable of entering the winner's enclosure.

Hydra Properties and Abu Dhabi Sports Club are supporting the night's card of six races with the first race going to post at 6pm at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club race course.
