Newspaper continues to honour its commitment to promoting racing in the UAE
Highlights among the evening’s seven races include the 2013 renewal of the $250,000 (Dh918,274) Group 2 Al Maktoum Challenge Round II, the $250,000 Listed UAE 1000 Guineas, the $100,000 Meydan Classic Trial and the Group 1 $110,000 Al Maktoum Challenge for Arabians.
Duleep George, Executive Director — Strategy & Marketing, Gulf News said that the newspaper was again proud to be involved with the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) and Dubai Racing Club (DRC), being one of its longest traditional sponsors.
“It is with great pride that we announce our partnership with the 2012-2103 Racing Season at Meydan Racecourse,” he said. “We are looking forward to our race meeting on Thursday and indeed to a great racing season, culminating with the Dubai World Cup on March 30.”
Gulf News will also return to sponsor the $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1) on the Dubai World Cup card.

Admission is free to the public areas of Meydan Racecourse and tickets start at Dh25.
Gates open at 5pm and the first race starts at 6.30pm.
