Abu Dhabi: The Dhruba Selvaratnam-trained Envisage will be seeking to follow up his course and distance win of three weeks ago in today's Thoroughbred handicap at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.

Ali Rashid Al Raihe's Palm Court, Doug Watson's Jackson along with Mubarak Bin Shafya's Game Stalker and Erwan Charpy's Sos Brillante are the others to consider.‪‪

One of the main races is the Al Wathba Stud Farm race which is part of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage's Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing Festival.

Bakhit Al Ketbi-trained AF Asasi, Majid Al Jahouri's Knife, Al Shamsi's Milan Ghantoot and Eric Lemartinel's Nabila have all won before while Saifaldin Deeb's Djarni D'or makes his UAE debut.

Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Director General of ADACH, said, "Horse racing fever has taken over the UAE and action is at its peak with the Meydan racecourse being launched. We are keen to ensure the private owners and smaller stables get their chance and the race has attracted a good field promising an exciting contest."

Lara Sawaya, Director of the Shaikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing Festival said, "The Al Wathba Stud Farm has been in the forefront of supporting flat races and endurance events in the UAE as well as abroad. This ongoing race series in Abu Dhabi will later be held in the US, France, Germany and Holland."

The Global Arabian series is organised by The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage with support from Al Wathba Stud Farm, Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2010.
