Dubai: The racing world has embraced Twitter and social media in a really positive way with trainers and jockeys providing news, plans and updates and opinion in a direct manner. Here are some ideas on Twitter people in racing to keep you updated with what is going on on the eve of the World Cup.

Firstly, have a look at @DWC_Meydan which is the official Dubai World Cup feed of the Dubai Racing Club @DRC_Meydan.

There are a few to look out for in the Dubai World Cup, where Nicholas Bachalard @nbachalard trains Ron The Greek and Ed Dunlop @EdDunlopRacing trains last year’s runner-up in Red Cadeaux and Joseph O’Brien @JosephOBrien2 takes the ride on his father’s Ruler Of The World. In the big race, @JPSPENCER1980 rides Side Glance whilst @rpmullen1 rides Surfer.

In the Dubai Sheema Classic, @BarandeBarbe trains Cirrus Des Aigles and @AnnDelzangles keeps us abreast of her husband Marco’s team and they have Mount Athos running here. Dual UK Champion Jockey @hughesiejockey takes the ride on Mars and @varianstable is running Ambivalent in the race.

In the @dubaidutyfree1, @CristianDemuro takes the ride on Logotype and @trilliumplace trains Trade Storm while The Fugue’s trainer @JohnGosden1 is a shy tweeter but the horse @The_Fugue is not.

@Marnane1 has some good chances with Jamesie and Elleval having a chance and he is always very communicative.

Medicean Man in the Alquoz sprint has a huge Twitter following and his trainer @jeremygask and jockey @HarryBentley_ are also regular contributors.

Toast of New York’s trainer @osbornejamie likes to chat but likes to tell his followers of the news and the weather in his home village of Lambourn in the UK.

There are many others involved too you can search out and I hope these names can help keep you informed and the @gulf_news and @gulfnewssport will certainly also keep you up to date.
