Dubai: Dianne Breeze was the star of the evening at the FEI World Dressage Challenge 2010, one of the biggest highlights of the dressage season held at the Emirates Equestrian Centre.

Breeze not only won her class with conviction scoring 69.5 per cent, but also managed to earn the title of Elementary Seniors winner for Zone 4, easily topping the next highest score by 2 per cent.

Breeze commented on her talented young stallion Belissimo Vita. "He is a lovely horse to work with. I bought him as a three-year-old and over the last two years I have been flying back to the UK periodically to train him. I finally brought him over approximately seven weeks ago and I am so proud of what he has already achieved in the short time he's been here in Dubai."

Second and third place getters in this UAE class, were Lesley Jones, riding Kengarth Danielle, with a credible 65 per cent and Mikaela Brokstrom, on Hash Du Val, with 64.3 per cent. Both scored high enough to finish in the top 10 in the Zone 4 rankings.

Lynn Al Redha, the only rider representing the UAE competing at Prix St Georges level, the highest level in the FEI World Dressage Challenge, placed second against all the competitors from other countries competing in the zone on her imposing Scottish-bred stallion Tartan Special and with a score of 62.6 per cent.

Santos stars

Luis Santos, riding the Lusitano stallion Cuarzo for Hoofbeats, also the only UAE rider competing at this level, competed in the Advanced Class, scoring 63.1 per cent made the UAE team proud also finishing second in the Zone.

In the Medium Class, riding a lovely consistent test on her Dutch warmblood gelding Tristan the UAE winner was Susanna Foustok, who finished second in the Zone rankings.

Impressively three UAE riders, Foustok, Christal Langlois, riding her Arabian stallion RS Kahraman, and Tracy Gill, riding the stunning Lusitano gelding Tao Balalao, finished in Zone 4's top 10 in the Medium class.

Madeline Drakeley, riding the seasoned Arabian star Sugar Creek Willy, finished seventh in the Zone in the Juniors Elementary Class, the only rider competing at this level in the UAE.
