San Rossore: The third Toscana Endurance Lifestyle will take place at San Rossore Estate and Racetrack in Italy with two events from July 14-16 and August 4-6.

The highlight of the first meeting is the Italian round of the HH Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup Festival, for which a record number of entries have already been received. Participants have made their way to Tuscany to prepare for the race, which offers a record-breaking prize purse of €500,000 (Dh2 million) from the Meydan Group.

World renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli headlines a star-studded festival inspired by the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Dubai-based real estate firm Azizi Developments and Pillar Partners of the Dubai World Cup, will be sponsoring the event.

A key objective of the festival is to consolidate and boost sporting, social and economic ties between Italy, Dubai and the UAE. It is also a significant milestone in the road map to San Rossore’s hosting of the prestigious Longines FEI World Endurance Championship in 2020.

The success of the two previous years of the Toscana Endurance Lifestyle event was instrumental in helping the FEI make their decision to award San Rossore the World Endurance Championships. The same venue will also host the European and World Championships for Junior and Young Riders in 2018 and 2019 respectively, and the World Championship for Young Horses in 2019.

This line-up of competitions will underline San Rossore’s emergence as a premier venue.

The HH Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup Festival series will wrap up in January 2018 at Dubai International Endurance City.

San Rossore will host six competitions in the Italian leg of the series.

The top three in each category CEI 3*, CEI 2* and CEI 2* Ladies — who are not UAE residents — will be invited to the final in Dubai.

Alongside the Italian leg of the series, San Rossore will also host the test event for next year’s FEI European Championships for Junior and Young Riders on July 15.

In August, the venue will also host the Italian Under-14 Championship, and a series of international competitions including CEI 2*, CEIYJ 2*, and CEI 2* Ladies category over 120-kilometres, and the CEI 1* across 81-kilometres.
