Dubai: Commercial Bank of Dubai, a long-time sponsor of racing in the UAE, extends its association with Meydan Racecourse this season by offering a six-race card on Thursday.
The second meeting of the 2012/13 season at Meydan is one of two nights of racing sponsored by Commercial Bank of Dubai. The bank will next be seen at the state-of-the art track on February 28, 2013, during Meydan’s Dubai World Cup Carnival, when the Group 3 UAE Oaks represents the evening’s feature.
Chairman of the Racing Committee, Malih Al Basti, said: “Commercial Bank of Dubai provides invaluable support to the UAE racing industry and we are very happy to welcome the bank back to Meydan Racecourse this season.
“Commercial Bank of Dubai is involved in both domestic and international racing in Dubai, recognising the need to nurture racing at home as well as to help enhance Dubai’s worldwide reputation as an elite racing centre.”
