Mahra managed three goals in the third chukka, but Abu Dhabi kept the lead with another two goals to make it 8-4.

As the match progressed, Rashid Al Habtoor’s Mahra continued fighting scoring three goals in the penultimate seven minutes. But the capital team also scored three to maintain their hold to finally wrap things up 13-7 in the final chukka.

The fast-paced action continued in the second match as Habtoor Polo set aside Edrees 8-3. Led by patron Mohammad Al Habtoor, the Dubai team gave Edrees very little space as they led 3-0 at the end of the opening chukka. They doubled their lead in the second chukka, stayed scoreless in the third and added another two in the fourth to cruise comfortably 8-0. Edrees got all three of their goals in the final chukka to give the score some respectability.
