Dubai: Mark Yamin Ali returned a superb four over par 76 to pip current Junior Champion Calum Mills for the Gross Medal in the Men's Division of the April Rivoli Monthly Medal.
The flagship monthly event sponsored by the Rivoli Group was played on Friday, and was, as always, very well attended.
Yamin Ali's strength being his back nine of 35, birdies coming at the 2nd, 15th and 16th.
Fifty three players compete in the Men's "A" Division (0-12); Sandy Crawford returned a net 70, highlights being back to back birdies on the 13th and 14th.
In the Men's "B" Division (13-28), Jed Isbell (14) continued his form of late with a net 70 to just pit out youngster Sam Bennett also off 14 handicap.
In the Ladies Division ex-captain Sheila Alban returned a net 73 despite two sevens on her card both coming at par 5's.
