Dubai: The 5th annual Creek Cup was played over the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club Course on Friday.
All the players were split into two teams from East and West of Dubai for a truly international showdown.
Club Captain Joseph Andrade captained the East team while Vice-Captain Ara Nakhnikian skippered the West team.
Highest points
The second to the eleventh highest points scores were added up to decide the winning team and for the first time in the last four years the West finally prevailed.
Nakhnikian led the team to a grand total of 315 Stableford points to whitewash the East team who finished with only 302 points.
The players with most points were: Warren Panting, 33pts; Stephen Fidler, 33pts; Adam Sweeny, 33pts; Rabih Sfeila, 33pts; John Wright, 32pts and Vanessa North-Panting 31pts.
