The Sethis combined for a Stableford total of 42 points to finish ahead of Amir Hussain and Esmail Mohammad.

"It's been a great day of golf and I think my wife carried me through," admitted Vipen Sethi, who plays off a five handicap.

"She played a consistent game and I am sure her handicap of 30 will come down shortly."

Archie Sharma, who took third with Bharat Godkhindi, was also pleased with the great golf they enjoyed on a perfect afternoon.

"I never expected to be among the winners, so it is very satisfying to come, play and then win something at the end of it," Archie said.

Juho Halinen, who teamed up with James Dagar for fourth place overall, contributed their success to his playing partner Dagar.

"I think it was a good effort from us as a pair. James played some steady golf and we may have done even better," he said.

Rita Walker, who had the most number of birdies (four birdies and an eagle) was thrilled.

Nice feeling

"It was a great day of golf and it feels nice to go home with a prize at the end of it," Walker said.

A visitor to Dubai, David Robinson, who teamed up with his brother Andrew, was pleased with a great day of golf.

"My biggest contribution is that I donated a few balls to the course. But other than that, I met some great people here," David stated.

Mukti Rai picked up the most valuable player prize and commented: "I was lucky to win something."
