Dubai: Mads Thuesen and Patrick Morrow came up with yet another superb display to win the Carpetland Monthly Open at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club (DCGYC) on Saturday.
The incredible duo, that gelled amazingly well once again, scored a better-ball score of nett 61 to win by a countback of the last three holes from Vinay Mehra and Kush Sama.
Only one shot behind in third place, on nett 62 and winning by virtue of the last three holes, was the husband-and-wife combination of J.D and S.S Park.
The grand final is now all set for next month where all the top three pairings from May 2007 onwards will be invited back to play for the Carpetland Monthly Open Championship title 2007-08. Will Thuesen and Morrow carry on with their fantastic run or can another pairing pip them to coveted prize, is the big question now.
Out of 100 entrants for the day, the raffle prize of a lovely Egyptian rug went to Mansour Al Haj.
Other prizewinners for the day were Roland Decourcy, Jen Magnusson and Chris Elms.
